Michael, Managing Director of Stratus, has been a financial adviser since 1989.
His strength in process and business structures – drawn from his experience in the mechanical engineering, quality control and more than 30 years’ involvement in the NZ Army – has contributed significantly to the growth of Stratus.
A Chartered Life Underwriter and Certified Financial Planner, Michael has completed studies in insurance and investment advice. He has represented Stratus on a number of National and International Professional Adviser Association, serving as a Councillor, executive board member and held the role of President or Chair in two of the National Bodies.
Michael holds Firearms Museum Curator License and is involved firearms legislation and regulation. He has served on committees and boards as well as served as an adviser on United Nations Committees in New York, as a volunteer.
Michael is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors.
Between them, Michael and his wife raised five children. He enjoys photography, antique toys, travel and, since 1997, has been involved with Victim Support as a voluntary Crisis Worker, Committee and board member.
